Francisco completed all requirements for the PhD and will begin his IRACDA Fellowship.
This year Francisco received the Immunology Program's teaching award for his exceptional contributions as TA for 640, and his contributions to Developing Future Biologists. In addition Francisco received a teaching award through OGPS. Great work Francisco!
The Scholarship Program honoring Senator Barry Goldwater was designed to foster and encourage outstanding students to pursue research careers in the fields of the natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics. The Goldwater Scholarship is the preeminent under-graduate award of its type in these fields.

Thomas and Francisco participated in the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science. Thomas won the Best Poster Presentation Award!!!!!!
Francisco received this Award to support his attendance at the Autumn Immunology Conference. The purpose of this award is to promote the participation of underrepresented students/postdocs at the AIC and to recognize their work and achievement.
